Frequently asked questions
Is aufguss.app really free?
Yes. Creating an account, uploading sessions, joining groups, getting feedback, and using every core feature is free forever. The only paid thing is opt-in subscriptions to approved professional creators - and those go directly to the creator.
Who is this for?
Competing and practising saunamasters, sauna venue trainers, and anyone serious about improving their Aufguss craft. If you've ever filmed a session and wished you could review it properly, this is for you.
Where are my videos stored?
We embed YouTube - you upload to your own (Unlisted by default) YouTube channel, and we layer feedback, annotations, and groups on top. We don't host or re-encode your footage.
Who can see my sessions?
By default, only you. You choose per session whether to keep it private, share with a specific group, share via link, or post publicly.
How does becoming a paid creator work?
We sign a partnership contract with each creator and charge a flat monthly fee for using the creator tools. Once the contract is in place, you can publish exclusive content and run paid subscription tiers - the revenue from your audience stays with you.
Is my data safe?
We're EU-built and GDPR-native. You can export, anonymise, or delete your account and data at any time from settings.
Which languages do you support?
English and Hungarian today. German is on the way after launch.
Can I install it as an app on my phone?
Yes - aufguss.app is a Progressive Web App. Open it in your phone browser and use "Add to Home Screen" to install it. You'll get push notifications when people respond to your sessions.
